Making a difference: Stories from the fight against poverty in Scotland

2010 has been declared the European Year for Combating Poverty & Social Exclusion.

As part of the year, three films have been made to raise awareness of poverty in Scotland from the perspectives of young, adult, and older people. Filmmakers worked with students from Kirkcaldy High School, adults from the Clydebank Independent Resource Centre, and The Damned Rebel Bitches from Tollcross Community Centre (Edinburgh) to produce short documentaries.

Through a series of workshops, members of each group researched, planned and executed their films using professional equipment with the filmmakers as creative and technical mentors.
